Call for Tutorials

The Interspeech 2009 Organisation Committee invites proposals for Tutorials at Interspeech 2009 - the 10th Annual Conference of the International Speech Communication Association, to be held on September 6-10, 2009, in Brighton, United Kingdom. The theme of INTERSPEECH 2009 is "Speech and Intelligence".

Proposal Submission

The following information should be included in each Tutorial proposal:

  1. Title of the proposed tutorial
  2. Names/affiliation of the presenters,
    including a brief bio and contact information
  3. An introduction (maximum 1 page),
    including the importance of the topic, the objectives of the proposed tutorial, and brief outline of the main target audience.
  4. A presentation outline (maximum 2 pages ),
    an outline of the presentations and, if multiple presenters are > proposed, how the presentation will be shared.
  5. Requirements,
    a list of any type of special equipment necessary for the presentation, including information if such equipment is required to be supplied by the conference organisers.

Proposals will be evaluated by the Organisation Committee based on the relevance/significance of the topic and potential interest to the conference attendees.

Submission Procedure

Prospective tutorial presenters should submit proposals by email to Thomas Hain (t.hain@dcs.shef.ac.uk) before 1 January 2009. Notification of acceptance of proposals is scheduled for 16 January 2009.
